But everythings good until it goes bad, and your gonna tell all the people about the fun you used to have. It hurts when it don’t last. No easy way saying bye so Imma spread my wings and head for the sky and I fly solo.
Some days are easier than others; some are harder.
Lent
For lent this year, I have an exciting journey ahead. I chose to give something up that I have no substantial reason to give up, but I felt God leading me to do it…so I am. But the majority of my “lenting” is from my church’s lent calendar! As a congregation, we are taking a small challenge everyday that will lead us further from the world, and closer to God. Our aim is for our hearts to be especially softened in time for Easter, so that we can truly feel and seek God’s heart. Yesterday’s goal was to write a prayer to God about what sins you struggle with and want to die to. As I started writing, sin after sin kept pouring out, and I realized how imperfect I am. Something disappointing though is my lack of guilt and sorrow. Part of me sees that as a great thing, because I think it shows the security I feel in the Lord. But at the same time, I know I struggle with pride issues and I think that is really coming into play in this instance. Today, I am sharing these things with Brynn and Kara and vice versa…If mid terms don’t get in the way! Anyways…Happy Lenting! <3
